Reflective Writing Practice

Remembering who we are & realigning to what matters

Our stories matter. Our words make a difference. When we come together in community, when we create spaces to share, listen and reflect, we are transformed. Words lead the way towards that, and can take us beyond.

Drawing on a lifetime of practice, study and experience in working with others, I facilitate one-to-one as well as group practices that invite people to see and feel for themselves the difference it makes when we get to know our mind through the medium of writing.

My intention is to help people to shift their perspective away from limiting ideas and behaviours and towards a more expansive view, by remembering how to pause, observe and move through the world with attention and intention.

First and foremost, writing is a private way to meet ourselves on the page, a necessary precursor (though it is a valid end in itself, writing for our own sake) to putting our work and our words out into the world. We have to know what we think, what we feel, to figure ourselves out before we have something we can confidently say out loud. Then comes the crafting, the editing and the refining, if we so choose, to make something more of our words with a view to sharing our thoughts, insights and experiences in a way that will move others, prompt thought, inspire connection. That’s the editorial side of what I do, which you can read more and inquire about over here.

In all regards - reflective writing practice and editorial support - I work with people from all walks of life, from young people and university students, to aspiring and established writers, to academics and creatives, to those who simply and just as vitally, wish to work through the fog of their mind and move towards some kind of clarity.
