This tailored 1:1 offering is rooted in my longtime spiritual practice and my ongoing chaplaincy training with my teacher, Lama Justin von Bujdoss. I rely on a number of liberatory practices in my personal, professional and service-oriented life, namely the Dharma, Buddhist meditation practices, Yoga and contemplative writing. All of which I believe (because I’ve explored how) can help us to see ourselves more clearly and unbind from unhelpful ways of thinking, behaving and relating to ourselves and others.
I specialise in holding space for people who already have a spiritual practice of some kind, whether that’s a secular meditation practice, people either embarking upon or those with an established yoga practice, those already exploring and people interested in incorporating Buddhist principles and Dharma practice into their lives.
Whatever you do, where you are in your spiritual journey, we can all benefit from a concerted period of time of unburdening our hearts and minds from the things that trouble or weigh us down. Often simply talking about what’s on our mind, and being heard, can help us to find some acceptance, and maybe some clarity, resolve and ease.
My intention is to help people to shift their perspective away from limiting ideas and behaviours and towards a more expansive view, by remembering how to pause, observe and move through the world with attention and intention. Clients leave my sessions having lightened their mental load, deepened their self-awareness, with ideas, support and tools to take into the rest of their daily lives.
My clients (and myself included, because I come from a place of experiential understanding) are in one form of recovery or another, largely from all too human unhelpful thought patterns, cultural conditioning, the dehumanising culture of productivity, emotional exhaustion and mental overdrive. I respectfully and compassionately hold space in a way that allows people to feel seen, heard, inspired and empowered to find their own way out and through these patterns, to be more real and feel more free.
I tend to work mostly (but not exclusively) with people who consider themselves and their work to be in service to some greater good – yoga teachers and practitioners, community leaders, artists and writers, facilitators, social activists and campaigners. However you identify, if you are looking for someone to work alongside and assist you, to help you face and unpack whatever is confusing or challenging you, let’s talk. I would love to help if I can.
How it works:
This is all based on the practice of sharing from the heart and deep listening, which means learning how to be open, honest and human. For most of us, that involves breaking free of the conditioned impulse to be good, clever, and strong. Note that this is not a therapeutic or counselling service. My intention is to give you space, support, guidance, inspiration and encouragement to be yourself and find your voice.
Sessions are held over Zoom. Each session is 40 minutes.
The pace and structure of these sessions is open to co-creation. The process works best when you commit to between four and six sessions. We can continue for a longer period if this is what you need. I have worked with people over the course of six months up to a year, meeting bi-weekly or monthly as helpful.
We'll spend time processing whatever it is that has you feeling stuck, disconnected, untethered or low, in life and/or work. We will also make time to celebrate the glimmers, the joys, the highs and the happy moments.
Investment:
Low cost/PWYC (Pay What You Can) in the spirit of Dana, the Dharmic principled practice of generosity and reciprocity. Suggested contribution (sustainable rate): £25-55
If you are experiencing financial hardship and need to pay less, that’s totally fine.
If it’s within your financial capacity and you are comfortable to contribute more, that would be most welcome – additional payments support my efforts to serve those with limited means. Suggested contribution (supporter rate): £65-105
